Our Sustainable Fund
The Alphinity Global Sustainable Equity Fund (Managed Fund) (the Fund) is designed for investors seeking both superior financial returns and investments which can deliver positive environmental and social solutions and outcomes.
Leveraging Alphinity’s rigorous, research-driven investment process, we strategically identify and invest in high-quality companies within an under-appreciated earnings upgrade cycle.
These opportunities are selected from a sustainable investment universe of leading global businesses we consider to be positively aligned with one or more of the 17 United Nation Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’s) and exceed our minimum ESG criteria. The sustainability and ESG credentials of a company are assessed using internal frameworks and overseen by a Sustainable Committee which includes two external subject-matter experts.
Companies like Schneider Electric, Nvidia, Veralto, and Novonesis are just a few examples of the high-quality global earnings leaders in our portfolio. These companies are innovating across key themes such as AI, energy, and water solutions.
The Fund also seeks to exclude investments in activities that we consider to be incongruent with the SDG’s and applies revenue thresholds for some activities (for example fossil fuel production with a 5% revenue threshold). All exclusions and thresholds are defined in the Fund Charter.
Our disciplined investment process, combining fundamental and quantitative research, ensures we identify companies poised for superior earnings growth that are also positively aligned with various environmental and social themes as defined by the SDGs.
